Article 4 EU AI Act: “applies soon” has become “is being enforced”

The EU AI Act does not forbid you to use AI, it demands competence. Article 4 has applied since 2 February 2025: companies using AI must ensure sufficient AI literacy among their staff. What is new is not the duty, it is the seriousness. In regulated industries, supervisors tend to look at this more closely than elsewhere.

Enforcement starts on 2 August 2026.The supervisory authorities are designated and the EU AI Act’s sanctions regime becomes applicable. Your challenge runs from 24 August, so the grace period will have ended two weeks earlier.

And Article 4 asks for more than just training. Your company must be able to prove it: who was trained, with what role-appropriate content, when. Prove, not claim. A single individual cannot deliver that, documented AI literacy is a job for the whole team.

Not just talking, standing there

Not another course. A standing AI system that moves your organisation.

Seven things a classic training programme does not offer. Individual to every role, from specialist to the executive board, built for real transformation.

01

Your path, not a course shelf

02

You lead an AI from day one

03

Checked sources only, nothing invented

04

Governance at the core, not a footnote

05

Updated every week

06

LIA around the clock, me live each week

07

Not only you, your whole organisation

Three acts, one learning year, one outcome

Understand, then do, then lead. One step each week, always in the same rhythm: a short impulse to read or watch, a task in your own company, and something to take to your team. Which step comes when is decided by your path, not by a fixed syllabus.

Two tracks, one programme. Everyone on the team travels the spine. Whoever leads gets the golden layer.

The spine, for everyone on the team The golden layer, additionally for leadership
Act 1 · Understand

I see clearly

Four topic areas
AI as a leadership matterYour role becomes clear, your first own prompt, the permission email sent to your team.
The AI value mapYour own company mapped from R&D to sales, with three levers marked.
Your first moveOne initiative on one page, with an owner, a date and a stop criterion, ready for your leadership team.
How AI actually thinksA realistic mental model and healthy scepticism. The end of magical thinking.
Additionally for leadership

You bring the map of your company and three prioritised levers into the next leadership meeting, not just a better prompt of your own.

Act 2 · Do

I do this with confidence

Five topic areas
Starting safelyYour personal setup is right, and the first guardrails for the company exist.
Context engineeringReproducibly good results instead of lucky hits, because context beats prompt.
The perfect promptYour own reusable prompt library for your everyday leadership work.
Research and evidenceA repeatable research workflow with source checking, robust enough for regulated settings too.
The AI toolsetA deliberate, lean toolset instead of a tool collection you never use.
Additionally for leadership

You give your team the guardrails and ready-made templates so it follows you safely, instead of slipping into shadow AI.

Act 3 · Lead & scale

My organisation moves

Two topic areas
Governance & complianceThe heart of the programme. Audit-ready roadmap, documented AI literacy, and your certificate.
Your own AI assistantsOne working assistant live in your company, the proof that this scales.
Additionally for leadership

A weekly live briefing, personal sparring and an audit-ready governance roadmap move the whole organisation, not just you.

For everyone on the team

An audit-ready AI competence record

In the end you use AI in your role safely and compliantly, documented for your records. Included in Academy and in every team licence.

Additionally for leadership

An organisation in motion

All of that, plus a weekly live briefing, personal sparring and documented AI competence for the whole team. Included in Leader and Executive Partner.

And then it does not stop. Weekly briefings, a growing knowledge base, the Leadership Circle and new building blocks keep coming. This is a membership because leading with AI is a permanent state, not a course you finish.

For every department, not just theory

Each area gets its own depth, eight units: four for everyone in the team, four for the person who leads it. Industry-neutral at the core, with a separate part for regulated industries.

MarketingContent at volume and quality, targeting, campaign analysis, without losing your brand voice.
SalesFaster, sharper proposals, meeting prep, follow-ups that never feel cold, hidden potential in existing accounts.
Customer serviceTriage requests, draft replies, turn old cases into a knowledge base. Often the fastest visible win.
HR & recruitingJob posts people actually read, fair pre-sorting of applications, onboarding, appraisal prep.
PurchasingMake offers comparable, write specifications, prepare negotiations, spot supplier risk early.
AccountingCapture and code receipts, prepare reconciliation, surface anomalies. It prepares, you post.
Finance & controllingMake the numbers readable, explain variances, run the plan, draft the monthly report.
IT, data & accessWhich data sits where, who may do what, what may go into open tools. The unit that secures the rest.
Your personal AI assistantInbox, meeting prep, travel, decision briefs, your weekly briefing. AI that assists one person.

Every department that matters in a mid-sized company. From marketing and sales to production, quality, legal and IT, each with concrete use-cases, effort and effect.

Only in the L package

The leadership modules, in the top package

Everything else makes existing work better. These decide whether you lead the AI introduction, and whether you become the market leader in two years.

1

From a leaner operation to a better offer

The difference between working faster and earning differently. Where an internal capability becomes a sellable advantage. The single most important unit for this audience.

2

Your data strategy

Which data you have, which you truly own, what to start collecting today so there is something in two years.

3

Leading people through the change

Technology rarely fails, people do. Address the unspoken fear about jobs honestly, and know who drives and who brakes.

4

The two-year map

From fifty ideas to a sequence. Milestones you can show your board or bank. Stop criteria, so a dead project actually dies.

5

Your personal responsibility as managing director

Not the company's compliance, your personal liability. What must be documented, where leadership cannot delegate.

Try it first, decide afterwards. The challenge costs you nothing but two afternoons.

I am Selina Gaertner, TÜV Rheinland certified AI Strategy Consultant. Before AI, I spent more than 10 years inside Life Sciences commercial teams, as Director EU Medical Affairs & Marketing at HTG Molecular Diagnostics and Senior Marketing Manager EMEA at Mission Bio.

That taught me what it takes in a company that has to answer for every decision: long approval cycles, documentation duties, MDR and EU AI Act, and a leadership team that wants results this quarter. Everything in this programme is built for exactly that reality, not for a startup that answers to nobody. And wherever your company is regulated, that depth is there for you.

This is not a finished course. That is exactly the point.

The SELVAION AI ACADEMY starts on 31 August. If you join now, you are not stepping into a running machine, you are joining at the start. That comes with three advantages you will never get later.

Including of 8 Executive Partner seats

You shape the content

Members of the first cohort decide which topics get built next. Bring the questions from your own leadership meetings, and they become part of the programme.

Direct access to me

The first round is capped at 30 seats. Not for marketing reasons: with 30 people, everyone gets to speak in the weekly briefing roughly every four to five weeks. Seat 31 goes on the list for the next round. Beyond that, Executive Partner is capped at 50 mandates in total.

Challenge price for good

Challenge participants of the first cohort who book within 72 hours after day 2 keep the challenge price permanently. This lifetime privilege exists only in this first round, later cohorts will not receive it. It applies for as long as their membership continues uninterrupted. Every later price increase passes you by, that is the reward for the trust you place today.

You do not have to commit to a year today. Only to 24 August.

AI literacy for your team, documented

A full personal learning path per person, role-appropriate, with an auditable proof of competence. Team and company licences are agreed individually and billed by invoice.

International too. Companies based outside the EU may also be affected, for instance where staff in the EU use AI systems. The academy is available in five languages: German, English, French, Spanish and Italian, so international teams can be trained centrally and documented consistently.

Included in every company package

  • Auditable proof of competence per person (Art. 4 documentation)
  • Available in five languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian

45 minutes with me one to one, if you are quick

Book as a challenge participant by Wednesday, 26 August, 23:59 CEST, and you also get a 45-minute one-to-one session with me: we go through your initiative from the challenge and decide together how you launch it. This deadline will not be extended.

Role and context based, exactly as Article 4 requires

Article 4 does not ask for "everyone did an AI course". It asks who was trained, on what, appropriate to their role and their deployment context. So LIA asks three questions before your first step, the same three dimensions the legislator means.

„I put together what fits your role, your AI systems and your deployment context, and I document it at the same time for your proof of competence.“ LIA, in the onboarding

Decide today, without carrying the risk

Booking before a programme has launched takes trust. So the risk sits with me, not with you.

30 days money back

Look at everything in peace. If it is not right for you, you get your money back within 30 days, no questions, no justification needed.

Challenge price locked

If you secure the challenge price, you keep it for as long as your membership continues uninterrupted. Later price increases never apply to you, that is the reward for being early.

Built for procurement

Invoice instead of card, VAT ID, and team to enterprise licences for your company. Everything your finance and compliance team needs.

Everything you need to know

For managing directors, department heads and C-level in mid-sized companies, across all industries, who want to lead their market. No prior knowledge needed: LIA, your AI learning companion, adapts the path to your level, from first steps to strategic depth. Enabling your team is a dedicated focus.

After signing up, LIA gets to know you in under a minute (role, goals, time budget) and then recommends suitable blocks step by step: short video impulses, exercises and practice tasks in your company. By chat or voice, even if you only have 15 minutes. Points, levels and badges make your progress visible.

As much as your calendar allows. The programme is built for packed leadership calendars: blocks take 5 to 20 minutes, the weekly live briefing 30 to 45 minutes (with recording). LIA always recommends the step that fits your available time.

The standard price applies to everyone: Academy €12,900, Leader €21,900, Executive Partner €49,000 per year, all prices net plus VAT. That works out at €1,075 / €1,825 / around €4,083 per month. Challenge participants who book within 72 hours after the end of day 2, that is by Friday, 28 August, 18:00 CEST, lock in the challenge price: Academy €9,900, Leader €16,900, Executive Partner €34,900 per year. That price stays permanently, for as long as the membership continues uninterrupted. And why cheaper? Because the first cohort helps build it: you decide which building blocks come next. Executive Partner is capped at 50 mandates. On top of that: book by Wednesday, 26 August, 23:59 CEST, and you get a personal 45-minute session with Selina Gaertner, in which you go through your first move from the challenge together.

Yes: 30-day money-back, no questions asked. Booking works conveniently online or classically by invoice (B2B). The membership runs for 12 months and can be cancelled with 4 weeks notice to the end of the term. Questions first? Book a free call with Selina.

Because here you do not read about AI, you lead one. LIA is not the course material, she is the tool you work with daily. No shelf of courses to fight through alone, but exactly one step a week, picked for your role and your time budget. Plus a live briefing with an actual human and a circle of leaders doing the same thing. That is precisely where recorded courses fail: nobody notices when you stop.

Then start with two afternoons. The challenge is free and you leave with a finished result. After that you decide from experience rather than a hunch. And if you can only make one of the two days, each session is available as a replay for 48 hours.

The EU AI Act does not forbid you to use AI, it regulates it. And since 2 February 2025, Article 4 actually requires you to ensure sufficient AI literacy among your staff. So the question is not whether you may, but whether you can document it. That is exactly what the academy supports: role-appropriate content, a documented curriculum and an auditable record of competence for your QM and HR files. In short: provably good with AI.

The challenge is free, no payment details, and it does not roll over into anything. At the end of day 2 I present the SELVAION AI ACADEMY. Those who want it book, those who do not keep their results document and leave. Afterwards you get a few updates around the launch, and unsubscribing takes one click.

Be there when the AI‑Academy opens

Come to the challenge first, decide afterwards. Two live sessions from 24 to 25 August, free, and you leave with your own AI agenda. Book within 72 hours after day 2 and you keep the challenge price permanently.
